Hi, a quicky that's bugging me; why do some full aperture scans are of 1.316 ratio with extra lines instead of 1.33 ratio which would correctly match the camera aperture?

For example, take a 2K res scan (2048x1556), are the extra 20 lines just extra garbage outside the camera gate?

Thanks in advance!

Nope, that's the full image area, although I can't find a reference to confirm that.

David is right, though from time to time you will see different vertical rez. ie 2048x1556 vs. 2048x1536. This is just that some scanners like 1556 and some like 1536.
